Following critical success internationally and at London’s Old Vic, the mesmerising story of The Missing Light visits the Everyman Theatre this November.

Telling the story of Warple and Hilda, two elderly people from a seaside village, The Missing Light follows their journey to overcome isolation. Embarking on a surprising journey, they reconcile their pasts to see what might be in their futures.

Using puppetry, film, music and live animation to create a captivating silent film, the story is created live onstage in front of the audience, with the final film being projected onto the big screen.

Young people will be able to talk to the Creative Team after the show to find out more about how the film takes shape, or to look at the puppets in more detail.

An enchanting tale for all ages, The Missing Light is brought to the Everyman by Theatre Company Make Mend and Do and Local Theatre Maker Mark Arends.

Looking ahead to the shows at the Everyman, Mark commented that:

"Returning to Liverpool is always special for me, but coming home to bring The Missing Light to the Everyman is particularly exciting. The Everyman & Playhouse are where I cut my teeth as a young actor. I've always considered it my "theatre home" and have been fortunate enough to come back and work here on multiple occasions. It was the first theatre on the list of venues I wanted us to tour to and I can't wait to see what the Liverpool audiences make of our show.”

A show about hopes, dreams, togetherness and friendship, The Missing Light will be at the Everyman Theatre for four performances between 2nd-3rd November 2018.
