Tom Bailey is set to release his long awaited solo album Science Fiction this July 2018.

Having worked within dub, world music and audio visual projects for the last two decades, this will be his first ‘pop’ record since Babble’s 1996 release Ether.

The past few years has seen Tom perform across the world, including performances at Rewind and Lets Rock Festivals in the UK, as he explains in the message on his Pledge Music page:

“I so much enjoyed playing concerts around the world over the last couple of years, that I began working behind the scenes on writing, recording and mixing the songs in this collection. As you know, I have concentrated on other areas of music for the past couple of decades - but I find it incredibly rewarding to be making pop music again.

There’s something so special about the way this kind of music works and, for me, it’s like finding a long lost friend.

So I must thank you all for your amazing support; it’s your enthusiasm which has brought me back to this point. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I have loved making it”.

Tom will also join A-Ha on the UK leg of their 2018 Electric Summer World Tour, in addition to joining Culture Club and B-52s on their North American tour. He will then return to the UK to tour with Culture Club and Belinda Carlise.

Science Fiction is available to Pre-Order now via Pledge Music.
